My Dear John Pybus,

I am glad that from what has fallen from Mr. Hill the contents of my letter of yesterday will not disappoint you & I recommend you at once to give notice for Michaelmas term and I have no doubt but you will be able to pass - if however anything should in the meantime occur to prevent your going up for examination, the notice can do no harm - Nothing new since yesterday - except that Mr. Nicholson the engineer is dead.

Yours affectionately

Henry Ingledew
